A symbol for spreading Japan's fascinating anime culture to the world.
Passionate anime fans across the world are fellow members of the anime industry and community
who work together to spread Japan's fascinating anime culture to t the world.
We turned the Otaku Coin logo © into an NFT as a symbol for our activities to together promote the anime industry and the community,
and to spread anime more widely throughout the world.

There are actually many types of NFTs. Depending on the type of chain they're on and where the metadata, images, and videos are placed, their properties differ.
When all data is placed on an open public chain, it is called "fully on-chain" and is a "high purity" NFT with "permanence" and "verifiability".
However, there are currently many restrictions to creating a fully on-chain NFT on the Ethereum chain, such as the high gas price, and there are only a few NFT projects from Japan, such as the "Original Otaku Coin".
Most NFT works in circulation today do not actually record digital data such as text, image, or video directly on the blockchain.
For example, the maximum size of transaction that can be written at once is very small, only about 46.8KB, so commonly, the images and videos are placed outside the chain, and only the "meta information" that specifies their location is recorded on the blockchain.
However, fully on-chain NFTs have all their data recorded on the blockchain, so the buyer "owns all the data that make up the work."
If "metadata" or "images and videos" are placed in a file storage outside the chain, the "permanency" will be lost when the file storage collapses.
However, NFTs are supposed to remain in existence forever. To do so, the NFT must be fully on-chain with all data recorded on the blockchain.
Although the many restrictions and high gas prices are a bottleneck, we felt the great significance and value of "works remaining forever in the future," something humanity has never been able to accomplish before, and decided to make the Otaku Coin NFT fully on-chain.
The Ethereum chain is highly decentralized, giving the blockchain permanence to the extent that we could even say it will never disappear in the future.
Given that the Ethereum chain is widely dispersed across the world and that monetary values over tens of trillions of yen are concentrated on the Ethereum chain, "eliminating Ethereum from the world" is an impractical action.
Therefore, the "Original Otaku Coin NFT", fully on-chain on the Ethereum chain, is guaranteed to have high permanence and collateral value.
Fully on-chain NFTs with all data recorded on the blockchain allow everyone to mutually cooperate without permission, creating new NFTs and services by combining them like Lego blocks.
Free from the values and uses defined by the platform, a variety of projects led by the users and the community that own the NFTs can be launched and promoted.
Thanks to becoming fully on-chain, the Otaku Coin NFT is another NFT with this kind of composability.
